17 EUROPEAN SOFAS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT!
With so many great furniture manufacturers out there it was very difficult to keep the list to 17! Therefore, I make it a point to visit the Maison et object show in Paris every year. An event that focuses on new designs and more and more up and coming furniture designers to make your little design heart sing! Including big names like Ligne Roset and Roche Bobois, with their creative furniture designs we have come to know and love.
In addition to these rock stars, today I’ll be sharing some of European’s leading and innovated furniture companies. So, whether you are an interior designer or a home owner looking for more options, let me start by saying...you’re welcome!

3. CINNA – PAIPAI
When shopping for a sofa we look for comfort and style. Designer Lucidi Pevere created just that with the idea of a cocoon seat which is also visibly comfortable. “…The sofa named Pai-Pai in reference to the eponymous fan characterized by a round shape”
4. BUROV – LOTUS
This French company, which recently reissued one of their 70’s designed sofas, has given it a new life, putting it back on the market. A collaboration between the company and architect Gianfranco Grechi and Roberto Magrini this beautiful curvy sofa comes in many different fabrics and with its low back this then allows for more space visually. 5.BLASTATION-BOB SOFA
The “Bob” sofa; which was introduced in 2017, is a furniture style that many designers and architects are gravitating towards today. I mean, one look and it will have you swooning over it as well. The module system can be made from small to large and can be even be seen without a back seating. In other words, “Bob offers the architonic freedom to either challenge or adhere to all types of spaces.”
ITALY
6. NATUZZI - ICON SOFA
Designed by Michele Menescardi, as said well by Natuzzi “A contemporary-style tribute to Natuzzi tradition. Its soft, voluminous design and rounded appearance evoke the “visual comfort” that characterized Natuzzi style throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s.”
7. FRATELLI BOFFI - CENTURY SOFA
Sometimes, all you’re looking for is a classic look in any shades of blue that can really make a space stand out and this sofa does the trick!

This contemporary sofa just so happens to come in neutral tones, and I for one am digging the nacarat color. The designed by Felix Lopez Gil gives the word sofa a whole new meaning. It’s not just a piece of furniture—it brings a piece of our every day-to-day life into our homes.

SWITZERLAND
17. VITRA – MARIPOSA
An older model compared to these newly designed sofas I have listed, however it is still is a classic choice when choosing a sofa. Mariposa means butterfly in Spanish and I can see why the name was given. It’s wing-like arm rest, which adjustment mechanism along with the backrest allows this sofa to make you feel as if you just landed on to the horizon.
